Like many parents, I know how heartbreaking it can be when a child struggles to communicate. When communication is difficult, it effects everyday moments—expressing needs, building relationships, participating in school, and connecting with family. Helping children find their voice is what inspired me to become a speech-language pathologist.

Through speech teletherapy, I am able to bring high-quality speech and language services directly to families throughout Southern California. Sometimes parents simply need reassurance or guidance. Other times, a child benefits from a comprehensive speech evaluation and ongoing therapy. That's why we offer a free consultation—to help you determine the best next step with no obligation.

Sarah Leverence is a Speech Language Pathologist from Kern County working to provide quality choices for Californian families.

School- and county-based services are an important resource, and for many families they provide excellent support. However, if you believe your child would benefit from more individualized attention, greater scheduling flexibility, or additional therapy outside of those programs, I’m here to help. Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate with confidence, and at Coastal Valley we're committed to helping them get there.

At Coastal Valley Communication Therapy, we offer practical, compassionate solutions to fit your family's needs. If you're unsure whether virtual speech therapy is right for your child, we'd love to answer your questions, explain the different therapy options we offer, and tell you about our Three-Session Promise.

As a speech therapist, I’m specialized in speech and language. For more than 10 years, I've worked remotely and in-person with children with a wide range of speech and language delays and disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, lisps, and developmental communication delays to name a few. Prompt and individualized intervention makes a meaningful difference. Don’t let time limitations, waitlists, school calendars, or time in the car limit your child’s ability, because speech therapy helps them build the communication they need for the rest of their lives.
